Why partner? Partnering strengthens us all, releasing the synergy that helps us all overcome fears and defeats. Partnering with JEM enlarges the contribution each of us makes to the greater movement that is now spreading across the world, a movement essential to saving life on planet Earth, an astonishingly pregnant moment to be in community with all Earth life. In partnerships, we get clearer and stronger in being the change we wish to see.

Time and Skill Partners —

JEM is currently looking for partners to work on several economic themes. They are briefly named here. In each case, you and JEM will together define the tasks that fit your interests, skills, and time.

• Jubilee Households  — Advance JEM's initiative on growing intentional Earth community through households networked for encouragement and solidarity. Click here for volunteer opportunity description.
• Fair Trade Alternative — Advance JEM's work with Fair Trade locally and by promoting trips to Chiapas, MX. Click here for volunteer opportunity description.
• Land Use and Affordable Housing — Advance JEM's work on community land trusts (CLTs) that make housing affordable in perpetuity to households who earn as low as 60% of a region's annual median income. Click here for volunteer opportunity description.
• Artists for Change — Advance JEM's commitment to seek, value, and integrate the transformative expression of artists, choosing from such possibilities as house parties with film artist documentaries on ecological economics, performing artists in benefit concert, developing DVD's on JEM themes for cable and web distribution, promoting visual artists for change, and more. JEM exists because of the time and skill Partnerships of its board, director, and a dozen others who give their time and skills for bookkeeping, attorney work, tax help, getting out mailings, newsletter layout, and website maintenance. It's an inspiring, capable group!

Financial Partners —

JEM has just over 100 financial partners. Most express their solidarity with JEM and their desire for a new economic model with donations of less than $100. Can you grow JEM's partnerships through the people you know, your congregation, organization, or business?

• Household Partners — We invite people to express their solidarity starting with a Sabbath gift of $7.00 on up to what is right as we all seek to live in the jubilee economy of enough for all. JEM's largest gift to date is $5000.00.
• Congregation Partners — We invite people who are part of a congregation of faith to present the opportunity of "congregation partner" to the responsible committee.  Currently, JEM is strengthened by two congregations who partner with JEM through quarterly contributions.
• Organizational Partners — Some non-profit and/or faith-based groups partner with JEM, usually because a person who values JEM asks them to contribute.
• Business Partners — Many businesses will match the donation of their employees. Currently, JEM has only one such partnership. JEM also collaborates with business partners in sponsoring events.
